PIMP MY ROLLATOR
on June 19 in Hamburg

On June 19, the Design Zentrum Hamburg will be the venue for a radical rethink: as part of Social Design Week, PIMP MY ROLLATOR will show how gray everyday aids can be transformed into powerful design statements.
Why do mobility aids often look like they came straight out of design hell? Gray. Bleak. Invisible. As if function were everything. PIMP MY ROLLATOR puts an end to the uniform look. Artists and designers are pimping walkers—loud, wild, personal. Each piece is unique. Each design is a manifesto against age stereotypes.
Because design can break down barriers—on the road and in people’s minds. Mobility shouldn’t just work. It should inspire.
We are shaking up outdated images of aging
For us, it’s about much more than style. PIMP MY ROLLATOR wants to break down rigid age stereotypes and challenge conventional thinking. With exciting talks, creative ideas, and inspiring discussions about design, age, and diversity, one thing becomes clear: it’s high time to finally do away with outdated images of aging.
And this is where it all happens:
